Thoughts a flow

I live but a captivating life
I portray what a wonder indeed
grace falls upon me rise and dusk
dreary be gone, your welcome is not just

I waited patiently for God to help me; then He listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear of the glorious things He did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in Him.    (Psalms 40:1-3)

The Bruhn Family

A long-time friend of mine, Mollie, suggested the lush, mountainous location, Ho`omaluhia Gardens in Kane`ohe for our little photoshoot.  Talk about scenery!  There is a huge pond teeming with ducks, lush plants galore, and a backdrop of the Kualoa Mountain Range.  Her boys enjoyed running around and I was lucky enough to steal a few shots in between.  Here are just a few.  Marvel away!

Winterlust

My husband and I were blessed to be able to visit our family in Colorado this past Christmas and New Year.  During our time there I was able to take quite a few photos and here are my favorites.  The Stitchwell sewing machine belongs to a family member.  I absolutely L O V E antiques and couldn't resist taking a few shots of the sewing machine.  Items like this personify the era in which they were brought to life and enrich our time with its character and simplicity.  Maybe I have an old soul, or perhaps I just have a tremendous appreciation for the way of life back then.

The landscape shots were taken in the early hours of the day in Lakewood.  Mind you, my hands were freezing while taking these.  What can I say, I'm from Hawaii :)

Enjoy.

Her winter blanket of snow is but a prelude to spring
